A unique place calls for a unique house. A plot at the very top of a hill on the edge of Prague’s Šárka Valley is truly exceptional – the breathtaking views it offers have no equal in Prague. The entire valley opens up like the palm of a hand, creating an unforgettable backdrop for everyday living as well as special moments.
Architects from MA Studio approached the design with deep respect for the site, which deserves nothing but the best. The result is a tailor-made house – in harmony with the surrounding landscape, minimalist in spirit, yet thoughtfully crafted down to the smallest detail.
“From the very beginning, the investor said he wanted a modern and dynamic building, so we chose three blocks stacked on top of each other, which appear to be rotated from the outside. The floor plan itself, however, is rectangular,” explains MA Studio’s lead architect Dan Merta, describing the emerging Block House.
