In the vibrant neighborhood of Libeň, Prague, on a corner plot, we designed an apartment building focused on rental housing.
The concept for the building, which is divided into two smaller structures, is based on traditional Prague block development. The corner is emphasized with a distinctive dominant element, contributing to the urban landscape. The design respects the surrounding architectural context while introducing modern features that enhance the neighborhood’s character and improve the quality of life in Libeň’s city center.
The entrance level features a spacious foyer, complete with mailboxes, a stroller room, a bicycle storage room, and commercial rental units, serving both practical and community needs.
The apartments, available in sizes 1+kk and 2+kk, are designed to maximize every square meter. Courtyard-facing apartments include balconies, offering residents a private and peaceful outdoor space. The higher floors of the corner building feature apartments with access to roof terraces, providing exceptional relaxation spaces and stunning views.
The building’s facade features brick strips in two tones: a creamy white and brick red, creating a sleek and modern appearance. The recessed floor is covered in facade cladding in champagne and anthracite, offering a pleasing contrast to the main facade. The entrance level is characterized by bold anthracite cladding, adding a contemporary touch to the building’s overall appeal.
The size and placement of the windows are designed to ensure that each apartment receives an abundance of natural daylight, promoting a healthy and pleasant living environment.
A four-story stacker parking system is located in the courtyard, optimizing space while ensuring easy access to parking spaces.
Sustainability and energy efficiency were key priorities in the design process. The building features a ventilated facade and an extensive green roof, contributing to the reduction of energy consumption and enhancing the building’s overall environmental performance.
