Cabin in Čerčany

Investor’s request was to renovate a family recreational property located in the village of Ćerčany, near the Sázava River.

The design of the house follows the footprint of the existing structure and consists of a one-story building with a residential attic and a basement level. The focus was on respecting the character of the surrounding buildings and creating a natural connection between the house and the garden while preserving the existing stone foundation. This was achieved through the design of an exterior living staircase that seamlessly transitions into a covered outdoor terrace and connects to a spacious living area encompassing the functions of a living room, dining room, and kitchen.

The renovated family recreational property takes into account the existing layout and architectural style of the surrounding buildings.

The main emphasis is on integrating the house with the garden, creating a harmonious flow between the indoor and outdoor spaces. To achieve this, an exterior staircase was designed, allowing easy access from the garden to the upper level of the house. This staircase extends into a covered terrace, providing a sheltered outdoor space for relaxation and socializing.

The generous living area is the central hub of the house, combining the living room, dining room, and kitchen into one open and interconnected space.
