The Networked House is a conceptual building with interesting interior moments and an emphasis on visual connectivity within the living space. The high-quality interior design of the house aligns with this concept. The central idea of the study was to choose a unified motif for the interior design that would manifest throughout the entire structure, creating the desired cohesion among the individual rooms. This approach also reflects the overall visual impression of the house’s exterior and the composition of its facades.
Wood, dark steel, and black color were chosen as the fundamental elements of the interior. Black appears in various forms within the interior, from dark plaster in the kitchen to darker imitations of concrete screed in the bathrooms. The open living room serves as the focal point of the house. The TV wall, which spans the entire mezzanine level and is divided by a network, is visually connected to a shelving system inspired by a tree trunk. The shelves emerge from the floor and branch out towards the ridge of the roof, resembling a tree crown. Other rooms are designed in a similar spirit, with attention to detail while maintaining minimalist principles, ensuring a cohesive impression of the house both from the exterior and interior perspectives.
