So we found ourselves in a fixed situation where we had to adapt to an irregular polygonal floor plan, which in some ways proved to be an interesting test of our abilities.
In the end, however, our interior architect handled it very well. He fitted the living room with large format tiles under which all the added technology ducting, heating and so on could be hidden. Luxurious furniture and sophisticated lighting complement the large aquarium built in as part of the library.
While the irregularly shaped floor plan presented resistance, the layout did offer some interesting moments. For example, more space in the passage to the garden around the kitchen counter, or overall views through the interior that would not have been possible in a rectangular layout, and much more.
The garden design also reflected the irregular floor plan.
A pleasantly large swimming pool with a patio and a place to sit and relax was constructed along the neighbouring boundary. An outdoor sauna next to the building also fit in.
