The family house is located in the southern part of the village of Buštěhrad, on Javorová Street. The design responds sensitively to the character of the surrounding development and reinforces the atmosphere of a rural environment. The proposal is based on simple, archetypal forms and materials typical for the locality, interpreted through a contemporary architectural language.
The building mass is composed of a strong horizontal platform intersected perpendicularly by volumes of the second floor. These upper volumes are topped with gable roofs whose ridge orientation follows that of the neighboring houses, maintaining continuity within the streetscape. At the center of the composition, a covered parking area for four cars is integrated, creating a natural transition between public and private space.
The house consists of two above-ground floors and is designed as a two-family residence. Entrances to both residential units are accessed from Javorová Street and lead into a shared forecourt framed by a lightweight metal structure. This semi-public space supports a sense of shared use while preserving the privacy of each home.
Materiality plays a key role in preserving the rural character of the building. The main platform is finished with white façade plaster, while the gabled volumes are clad in wood. The wooden façades establish a visual dialogue with the kindergarten located on the opposite plot, which uses the same material, allowing the house to integrate naturally into its context.
