The building is located in the eastern part of the plot to maximize views of the greenery and orient the living spaces towards the west. It is a family house designed for a 4-member family. The family house is designed as a two-story structure, with each floor forming a clean geometric cube. These two basic geometric masses divide the building both functionally and volumetrically, and subsequently also in terms of design.
The larger vertical cube, oriented towards the north, primarily serves as the residential area, featuring a generously designed living room that is visually connected to the kitchen with an island and dining area. This space is followed by the parents’ sleeping zone with a separate bathroom and wardrobe. The entire cube is equipped with a glazed facade on its western side, allowing all rooms to access the garden and providing ample sunlight throughout its layout.
The second floor consists of a smaller horizontally oriented cube facing north, mainly functioning as the children’s sleeping area. It includes a bathroom and 2 similarly sized children’s rooms with a western orientation and a view of the garden. The layout of the second floor is complemented by a guest room that has access to the northern terrace through a French window.
The arrangement of both cubes perpendicular to each other allows for the creation of a naturally covered terrace adjacent to the living area, enabling easy connection between the interior and exterior spaces. Both floors are connected by a vertical two-flight staircase that leads to the underground level. The underground level houses the technical facilities of the house, including a laundry room, workshop, and storage for seasonal food and clothing, in order to comply with building regulations and coefficients.
On the southern side, there is a garage for 2 cars seamlessly connected to the main entrance corridor of the building. This corridor, along with a large wardrobe, serves as an entrance hall and is connected to the communication zone of the building, where the staircase, utility toilet, and pantry are located. The facade of both cubes is designed in white with black accents. This combination creates an overall subtle and clean design that allows the surrounding greenery and nature to stand out.
