The intention of the investor was to create a weekend house on a sloping plot with beautiful views of the Jeseníky Mountains and Bouzov Castle while respecting the surrounding landscape. The project brief also included the conceptual utilization of the garden with the placement of a smaller second house for visitors. The result of the study is the proposal of two designs. Variant B follows the same room layout scheme but works with a different composition of the house’s masses on the slope. The main living area of the house is newly designed to follow the contour lines of the land. As a result, the living room can be oriented towards both the landscape view and, especially, towards the rising slope, allowing the afternoon sun to enter through windows facing the enclosed courtyard.
The design of the house incorporates three fundamental materials: wood, stone, and anthracite. These materials are combined to create a distinctive aesthetic.
